ALICE COOPER’S SOLID ROCK teen centers | NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION

Like all great ideas, Solid Rock began on a simple premise. That inside every teen, there is a purpose. It all begins with hope.

Solid Rock is a Christ-centered nonprofit founded by Alice and Sheryl Cooper to make an everlasting difference in the lives of teens. Through safe, engaging environments during non-school hours, we meet the spiritual, emotional, physical, and practical needs of teens 12-20 years old in our community.

Grounded in the belief that “a teen’s worst enemy is too much time on their hands,” Solid Rock offers music, arts, vocational training, and meaningful fellowship that invite teens to discover their God-given purpose through creativity, self-expression, and skill development.

With thriving centers in Phoenix, Mesa, and Goodyear—and a vision for statewide expansion—Solid Rock serves as a creative sanctuary where teens are known, valued, and empowered to build confidence, character, and hope for the future.

The Impact of Solid Rock

Everyone struggles, perhaps teens even more so. Listen to the teens’ own words about how The Rock has impacted their lives and futures for the better.

OUR FOUNDERALICE COOPER

“We are fulfilling a vision we’ve had for several years… to provide teens with a central place to learn, have fun, and explore their creativity in a supportive and safe environment. The Rock is the first of many teen centers in Arizona, and ultimately, around the country.”

– Alice Cooper

OURMISSION

“Solid Rock’s primary goal is to help meet spiritual, economic, physical, and social needs of teenagers in our community.”

– Alice Cooper

FOR ALMOST HALF A CENTURY, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame singer, songwriter and musician Alice Cooper has been the pioneer of a groundbreaking theatrical and heavy metal rock performance designed to shock parents and thrill kids.

The Rolling Stone Album Guide calls him the world’s most “beloved heavy metal entertainer.” Alice helped to shape the sound and look of heavy metal, introducing horror imagery to rock and roll. His imaginative stagecraft and masterful showmanship have transformed the genre for generations to come.

In 2011, the original Alice Cooper band was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, followed by the release of “Welcome 2 My Nightmare,” the highly anticipated album 35 years after the original concept album that established Alice Cooper as a cultural phenomenon.

Away from music, Alice is decidedly different from his stage persona. He is a strong Christian family man, as well as a film actor, celebrity golfer, and a popular DJ with his classic radio show, Alice’s Attic (formerly Nights with Alice Cooper).
